This is done through the use of Audio QR, which relies on ultrasonic sounds to make the transfer of money, which like we said does away with the need for phones to sport NFC technology. However over in India, Google has decided to launch a different mobile payments platform called Tez that will work on Android and iOS, and will also do away with the need for NFC.
When it comes to mobile payments services, Google already has Android Pay which relies on smartphones sporting NFC technology to help facilitate payments.
